Oblue computer glasses protect your eyes from the harmful blue-purple light that comes from computers, tablets and mobile phones. They are scratch-resistant, glare and dust-repellent. They comply with ISO standard 123612-1: category 0 and with the European Directive 89/686/CE.
Where does blue light come from?
Naturally, it comes along with sunlight that penetrates the atmosphere. The light spectrum is warmer and tends towards the red and yellow parts of the spectrum.
Artificial sources, such as LED lights, emit a light spectrum that is cooler and thus more dangerous to the eyes. That includes smartphones, computers, and televisions.
Natural filters in our eyes do not provide enough protection against blue light coming from the sun and much less against blue light coming from the digital sources mentioned above.
What are the effects of blue light on the eyes?
Blue light causes fatigue, insomnia, headaches and problems with concentration and vision. However, it can also cause permanent damage to your eyes (loss of central vision and blindness).
